Self Drive / Escorted Golf Holiday

Day 1

Arrive Melbourne airport where your hire car will be ready for pick up at the airport. Drive to the heart of the city and your four star hotel. The afternoon is free to relax or to sample the sights of cosmopolitan Melbourne. In the evening you will be met by a company representative from Gimme Golf with your travel pack.

Day 2

After a hearty full breakfast your hire car will be drive Australia’s No 1 Golf and Country Club the exclusive Heritage. Play the Jack Nicklaus designed St John course or the new but just as good Henley course located in the Yarra Valley.

The modern clubhouse is second to none with 5 star facilities on and off the course.

A Welcome Dinner is arranged on one of Melbourne’s finest tourist attractions, the tramcar restaurant.

Day 3

	Drive 90 minutes south to Australia’s golf coast the Mornington Peninsula and tee off at the Tom Doak designed St Andrews Beach private Golf Club the Peninsula’s latest course rated No 9 in Australia designed with expansive fairways and many hills and mounds.
The Gunnamatta course starts off with a beautifully crafted par 5 with a tiered tee off area and a hidden green. The course then winds its way around with no two holes similar as Doak has used all undulations and hills to his advantage. The course is a par 70 with only two par 5's but playing to your handicap here will take all clubs in your bag as well as a steady putter.

Check into your 4 star accommodation at Rye for 3 night’s.

Day 4

A free day on the Peninsula to explore one of Australia’s best wine areas with a lunch or perhaps a swim with the dolphins can be arranged. For the golf nuts a round at Portsea golf club is suggested.

Day 5

A morning round at the Thomson designed Moonah Link’s venue for the 2003 & 2005 Australian Men’s open. A links style course with wide undulating fairways and tough pot bunkers.

Day 6

Transfer back to Melbourne for your flight up north to the tropical capital, Cairns. This is followed by a magnificent coastal drive to the town of Port Douglas and check into your accommodation for 4 nights. 

Day 7

Tee off at Sea temple Links resort the only tropical links layout in the world. It is situated on the sand blown open coastal land adjacent to the Coral Sea. Relax in the afternoon at your resort around the pool or your local beach.

Day 8

A full day’s cruise on the Great Barrier Reef (one of the great wonders of the world) with Poseidon cruises. Relax as your fast comfortable catamaran takes you to the edge of the reef for 5 hours to swim snorkel & dive. Lunch morning & afternoon teas are included.

Day 9

A full day to relax around your resort of perhaps organise a Daintree river cruise in the upper rainforest.

Day 10

Drive back towards Cairns, but before we leave a final round in the tropical North at the stunning Paradise Palms golf course. Carved out of a tropical wonderland, wedged between a world heritage rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.

A flight to Brisbane before transferring down to the your 4.5 star resort the Radisson for 3 nights accommodation just outside Australia’s famed Gold Coast.

Day 11

Relax by your pool or a chance visit one of Australia’s most popular playgrounds the Gold Coast.

Day 12

An early morning tee off at the Jack Nicklaus designed Lakeland’s Golf Club. An undulating course designed to test the novice and professional with a choice of 5 tee off areas.

Day 13

A morning tee off at Robina Woods golf course, which is set amongst stately towering eucalypts with natural waterways and lakes, each hole has its own character.

Transfer back to Brisbane for a short flight to Sydney.  Check into your accommodation for 2 nights.  

Day 14

A free day to take in all Sydney has to offer

Day 15

Tee off at the Twin Creeks Resort an excellent course to finish off your golfing odyssey to Australia.

Spend your final night on a dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour with a 3 – course dinner and entertainment provided for your final celebration of Australia.

Day 16

Today you board your plane to return home or, if preferred, extend your stay in Sydney.
