The Old course for many years was considered the best on the Murray and is still a very challenging course with the opening hole a short par four with a sloping green rated the easiest on course. It lulls you into thinking it may be an easy course with the remaining holes long and tough. Pot bunkers are prevalent as are large pines that border many fairways.
The West course has just undergone a major revamp in what was long considered the poorer course to play. Over time the planted trees have become more mature and the fairways are now fully couch. A more links style feel with many dogleg holes giving the golfer many options to the flag.
