The vast flat areas and gentle slopes of the Kanto Plain, combined with a mild climate that allows playing throughout the year, create the ideal environment for golf. The fact that many golf clubs are easy to reach from Tokyo in one to two hours by car adds to their huge appeal. On this week long tour, stay at the 5-star Mito Plaza Hotel and play five fantastic courses that range from strategic maneuvers to beginner-friendly fields. You will not be disappointed.

Day By Day

DAY 1 :

Arrive at Narita Airport Tokyo. Be met there by your driver who will be transfer the group down 100 minutes North to the picturesque Ibaraki region.

In the afternoon, play the highly strategic PGM Ishioka Golf Club course engulfed in the beauty of nature. Mature trees line the fairways with an A Grade clubhouse – a great way to start your Ibaraki golf tour.

After golf transfer to your 5-star Western Style hotel Mito Plaza Hotel. 

DAY 2 :

This morning after breakfast, transfer to the Shishido Hills Golf club for your next round of golf.

Since 2017, Shishido Hills has been host to the Japan Golf Tour Championship. Featuring two courses, the East is the oldest of the two, incorporates an American-style design with Japanese-style landscaping and is considered the easier of the two. The West course has been extensively developed as a championship course and is renowned for its high standard of design and difficulty.

DAY 3 :

Your third round of golf on this fanstastic tour will be at the Shizu Hills Golf Club.

The moment you leave the clubhouse, you will see a spectacular view of the course in front of you. It is one of the few Japan that with many cramped courses, and this sense of openness is the biggest attraction of Shizu Hills. Using a flat and vast site with a maximum height difference of 7 meters as a material, the result is a wonderful course by consolidating the experience and image of reprinting the world.

DAY 4 :

Today, take a break from golf and indulge in local sightseeing with and English speaking guide.

Start with a walking tour of the Sakatsura Isozaki Shrine and the Oarai Isosaki Shrine in the morning. This will be followed by lunch before visiting Kairakuen, the 3 famous gardens of Japan. The last leg of the day is spent at the Kiuchi Sake Brewery Tour and Tasting.

DAY 5 :

The penultimate golf course on this Ibaraki tour will be played at the Oarai Golf Club where you will be transferred after breakfast.

The course is characterized by long fairways, lined by age old tall pines and many Ocean views. Some very difficult dog-leg holes and undulating greens characterize the course. The Wind from the Ocean can influence your game but with pristine fairways you will never have a bad line.

DAY 6 :

Its time for your last round of golf on the tour at the Taiheyo Sherwood Golf Club.

The Sherwood course is blessed with great weather which gives the local fauna the chance to blossom and blend into the golf course all year. Waters carries along with true quick greens and consistent local bunkering is a great way to finish your Ibaraki golf experience.

DAY 7 :

After breakfast transfer back to Narita airport for your flight back to Australia or visit another area in Japan which can be arranged. See you soon!

The golf course at PGM Ishioka Golf Club was designed by none other than Jack Nicklaus, who regarded it as one of the best golf courses in the country. The course makes full use of the natural terrain and requires strategic playing and golfers must use all types of clubs. Mature trees line the fairways with an A Grade clubhouse at the course.

Since 2017, Shishido Hills has been host to the Japan Golf Tour Championship. Higashi (East) course is a forest course, and it features spacious and flat fairways lined by old trees.
